Production line installation

We install new production lines from the first machine to a tested start-up – layout, positioning, connections, automation and full-load testing.

What the service covers

Installing a production line means more than placing machines. The layout follows the production flow, the machines are connected mechanically, electrically and pneumatically, and the automation is configured so that the whole line works in sync. Before handover we test the line at full load and check the safety systems.

How it works

  1. Confirming the layout: together with the client we agree the equipment layout, taking into account the dimensions of the production space and the logic of the production process.
  2. Unloading and positioning: where needed we use a truck-mounted crane to lift heavy equipment precisely and safely onto the prepared foundation.
  3. Fixing and connecting: the equipment is fixed in place and connected to the electrical and pneumatic systems.
  4. Automation set-up: the different parts of the line are configured to work in sync with each other.
  5. Testing: we check the safety systems and test the line at full load before handover to the client.
  6. Handover: we make the necessary adjustments to the configuration and hand over the line ready to run.

Frequently asked questions

What does production line installation include?

Layout confirmation, positioning of the equipment, fixing and connecting it to electrical and pneumatic systems, automation set-up so that the parts of the line work in sync, testing under load and handover.

Can you install a line supplied by an OEM?

Yes. We can work alongside the supplier’s engineers and commission the line according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Who does the mechanical, electrical and automation work?

One responsible Maintest team covers mechanical, electrical and automation work, so you deal with a single partner from planning to commissioning.

Do you work outside Estonia?

Yes. We have delivered projects in 14 countries. Project teams can typically be mobilised across Europe within one month, depending on project scope and site requirements.

How do I get a quote?

Send us your project through the quote form. The more you can tell us (equipment list, photos, current and new location, desired timing), the more precise our proposal will be. We do not publish price lists because every project is different.
