Factory Relocation

Relocating an entire factory is a major project that requires an experienced partner. We manage the whole process from start to finish.

What does factory relocation include?

Factory relocation includes moving all production lines, equipment and auxiliary rooms to a new location. We plan the move in stages so production can resume as quickly as possible at the new site.

If needed, we also build the production premises and utility routing at the new location according to production needs.

How does a factory relocation proceed?

We start by mapping needs and building a schedule, followed by disassembly of production lines and individual equipment, transport, and installation at the new location.

Before relocating, it is worth going through our 42-point factory relocation checklist and trying our free relocation cost calculator on the tools page.

Relocation step by step

  1. Mapping and planning: before dismantling we map all equipment and its connections and prepare a detailed relocation plan and schedule.
  2. Labelling: electrical and pneumatic connections and components are labelled so that reconnection at the new site is quick and error-free.
  3. Dismantling: the equipment is disconnected and prepared for transport.
  4. Transport: we map the route in advance, use special lifting frames and escort vehicles where needed, and allow for narrow roads and oversize loads.
  5. Installation and connection: the equipment is positioned at the new site, levelled, connected to the electrical and automation systems and set up according to the manufacturer’s requirements.
  6. Test run: before production restarts we carry out a test run and hand over the equipment.
