Factory relocation from Tallinn to Saue
We relocated the client’s production from Tallinn to Saue, planning the move so that production downtime was kept as short as possible.
Project overview
The client, who manufactures various plastic and silicone parts, moved production from Tallinn to a new, larger production building in Saue, as production was being consolidated in one place.
The relocation covered moving all of the factory’s production equipment, building technical routes, running and connecting utilities, and leveling the equipment and preparing it for operation.
How the relocation went
Before dismantling, we mapped all equipment and its connections and prepared a detailed relocation plan and schedule. Electrical and pneumatic connections were labeled so that reconnection at the new site would be quick and error-free.
The transport routes at the old factory were very narrow and steeply sloped, which called for special care and precise planning when moving the equipment.
At the new site we reconnected the equipment to the electrical and automation systems, aligned and set it up according to the manufacturer’s requirements, and carried out a test run before production restarted.
As a result, the client was able to restart production in the new factory on time and with a short downtime.
