A building materials manufacturer in Järva County needed a cyclone filter installed to clean the air in its production area. Our partner had already sold the client a solution for reducing airborne dust in production and keeping the air in the production environment clean. Maintest Grupp OÜ was tasked with physically implementing that solution.
Our team installed the cyclone filter in the production building and built all the necessary ductwork from the filter to the production equipment. Because the building has been in use for a long time, the installation had to take into account existing utilities and piping, which called for precise planning and careful execution. We also had to work in very limited space, which added further technical challenges. The position of every pipe and fastening had to be carefully thought through before installation, so that the equipment and ductwork would fit into the existing production environment without interfering with the production process or existing systems.
The entire installation took two weeks in total. Our role in the project was limited to installing the equipment and ductwork. The client’s production equipment had not yet been commissioned when our work was completed, so we cannot currently assess the actual effect of the cyclone on reducing airborne dust in production or on air quality. This will become clear to the client after start-up, once the equipment goes into daily use.
This project is a good illustration of the role Maintest Grupp OÜ plays for industrial companies. Our partners and clients may offer solutions, but putting them into practice technically requires a reliable installation team that can also cope with difficult conditions: limited space and an already operating production environment, where pipework and utilities added over the years must be taken into account. During the project, we documented the entire installation process in 25 photos, which give an overview of the work from start to finish.
