Relocating an entire factory is a major project that requires an experienced partner. We manage the whole process from start to finish.
How the calculator builds the estimate
The quick estimate gives a budget in 1–2 minutes from eight questions. The detailed calculator then asks step by step about machine dimensions and weights, access, doors, transport and utilities, and produces a technical estimate with a risk report. The price covers labour, lifting equipment (forklifts, truck-mounted and mobile cranes), transport (including oversize loads), utilities, project management and, where needed, team logistics. The result is a budget range whose width depends on how reliable the data is.
What it takes into account
- number, dimensions and weight of the machines (average data or machine by machine);
- distance from origin to destination;
- door and gate sizes, distance of the machines from the door and the floor slope behind it;
- an overhead crane in the building;
- utilities: electricity, compressed air, ventilation, extraction, gas, welding shielding gases and water — already at the machine or to be brought in, and the distance from the source;
- new distribution board, foundations and anchors, packing, accommodation.
What it does not include
Building works, repair or modernisation of the machines, third-party permits and technical studies, unexpected structural limitations and VAT. Production downtime cost is calculated only if you enter an hourly figure. An exact quotation always requires a site visit.
Tips for a more accurate price
- measure doors, gates and openings and note the distance of the machines from them;
- take photos and collect weights and dimensions from the machine plates;
- mark the electrical panel and the compressed air, ventilation, extraction and gas lines;
- check the floor capacity of the destination;

Frequently asked questions
Is the calculator price final?
No. It is a planning estimate excluding VAT. An exact quotation depends on a site visit, the condition of the machines, the schedule and local conditions.
What affects the relocation price the most?
The weight and dimensions of the machines, access (doors, slopes), distance, disconnecting and reconnecting utilities or building new lines, and the lifting equipment required.
What is oversize transport?
A load that exceeds permitted dimensions or weight, for example wider than 2.55 m or higher than 4.0 m including the trailer. It usually needs a special transport permit and route approval; confirm the exact requirements with the transport authority.
Does the calculator store my data?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to Maintest until you submit a request yourself.
How do I get an exact quote?
Send us the machine list, dimensions, weights, locations and desired timing through the quote form. If needed we add a site visit and confirm access and utility solutions.
