How the calculation works

The calculator multiplies the length of a stoppage by an hourly cost made up of lost output, idle staff wages and other downtime-related costs. You get the cost per stoppage, per year, per hour and per minute, plus how much you would save by cutting downtime by 10, 25 or 50%. The result is an indicative estimate, not accounting.

Example: if one stoppage costs EUR 980 and you have six a year, the annual cost is EUR 5,880. Cutting downtime by 25% would save EUR 1,470 a year.
